Lunes el 26 de junio - last week of school!

 Hola hola Mariposas!

This morning we had our morning meetings as per usual. We got new classroom jobs for the very last time in Grade 1. Then, we got ready for the Kindergarten students to come and visit our classroom. We showed them the lass, our stories, our research, and a math center and then we went outside and played on the park. We came inside and worked on our Alberta Wild Rose Science poster and then went to lunch.

After lunch, it was read to self and then we learned about the 6th of the 7 Sacred Teachings; the Wolf who represents Humility. "To know humility is to know that no one is more or less than anyone else. We are all equal." We went outside for recess and then we went to music. We came back and colored the wolves that we drew.

We had an excellent day!

Hola hola Mariposas!

This morning we had our morning meeting as per usual. Then we had a day! We worked on Thank you cards for our Grade 3 and our Grade 4 Buddies. We did some housekeeping and organizing in the classroom. The end is near! Summer vacation is almost here! We outside for recess and for gym in the morning. 

We had an incredible day!

 Hola hola Mariposas! 

This morning we had our morning meeting as per usual. In Spanish we worked on our Verano libritos. In Math, we did centers. We went outside for gym and had free play time on the park. We then worked on work.

After lunch we read to ourselves and then we worked on our English stories and other Ketchup work. We stayed inside for recess because of the smoke and then we made some special art. Now we are writing this blog.

We had an incredible day!

 Hola hola Mariposas!

This morning we had our usual morning meeting. In Spanish we did some more sentence writing. We are working on making SUPER sentences by adding lots of details. In Math, we did our centres and we went outside for gym. After that, we worked on our Beach Day Math Journals.

After lunch we read to ourselves and then we worked on our stories and story cover pages. We went outside for recess and then we continued working on our English stories. We finished the day with some science work on our research posters.

We had a wonderful day!

REMINDERS: Tomorrow is library days - we are not bringing home books any more. It is also FUN LUNCH tomorrow.

THURSDAY is the Family fiesta from 6:00pm - 8:00pm

 Hola hola Mariposas!

This morning we had our morning meeting as per usual and we got new jobs for the week. Then, we did some Spanish writing. We ate our snacks quickly and then we went to Alien in-line skating! It was a blast! After that, we did Math centres and then it was time for lunch.

After lunch, we read to ourselves and then we worked on our story writing and cover pages. We went outside for recess and then we had music. We worked on our science animal research posters and now we are writing this blog.

We had a fantastic day!

 Hola hola Mariposas!

This morning we had our morning meeting as per usual. After that we worked on our Science Animal Research Posters. We worked on fun facts about our animals and we drew our animals as well. Then, we went to see our Grade 3 Buddies and we did a LEGO challenge!

After lunch, we worked on our butterfly art and then we went to music and then we worked on work! Now we are writing this blog.

We had an excellent day!

 Hola hola Mariposas!

This morning we had our morning meeting as per usual. In Spanish we worked on writing and then in Math we continue working on our Beach Math Journals. We went outside for gym and it was cold! After that, we learned about the Earth and different kinds of land formations. Some examples include: canyons, mountains, caves, glaciers, rivers, oceans, lakes, and volcanoes.

After lunch we read to ourselves and then we worked on our story writing. We went outside fo recess and then we continued working on our writing.
